    Default RIP: 83 Crimson Cat?

So I went to local junkyard for kicks, and I found something very disturbing. emeber that red Crimsom Cat I had seen at the same yard's parking lot? It was now in the yard! For no apparent reason other than it had some dings/dents and it was 20 years old!

"CAT" on the second line from the bottom tells you what it is.

And it has a T-roof too (as evident from "TR" on the second line from the top).

So so Sad. If you go back, can you get the info off the door tag and if you have a chance to pull it apart, look for a build sheet? (maybe under the carpet)

I was thinking of tearing out the carpet for the build sheet too, but I had only gone to yard for kicks. I'll be back later this weekend for some parts, and I'l get it. I even feel bad taking parts from it...

Go back and buy the whole car. If you get a good deal on it, I might take it off your hands.

I think the CC is the coolest Capri of all the true Mercury production Capris. A very small number were built over an EXTREMELY short time frame with very distinctive features even above that of the Black Magic cars.

I've asked about car in the yard being sold whole, but they usually want like $400-550 each. And I bet they only payed like $150 for it too. I'll ask how much and let you guys know what happens.

I think I lost a girl over one red Capri already, I wonder what I'll lose this time.

Offer 250. Maybe get it for $300 or $400. Obviously don't tell them how rare it is.

I would love to see this car get saved. It is so sad when any of the rare Capris go to their grave unnecessarily.

So is the yard going to let you save it or not? Sometimes I wish I really had money .

The yard's owner, Sidney, is kinda greedy on prices. I know that he is running a business, and there are alot of overhead costs, but sometimes he does push it on prices. I haven't asked, but I'm almost sure he'll want $400+, even if the car is no longer complete.
