Joe, thanks for the visual! It helps a lot! Never really thought of other ways to try to attenuate. Is that just regular fibreglass batt insulation?
Lately the last few times I've been out, I feel it's improved from the way it was but needs more. When the rpm is in that sweet spot for the drone I can feel it slightly through the floor pan. I'm hoping that working at the outlet end will help flows in the middle. The wisest would be to install something in the middle. The only other symptom of note is upon deceleration with engine only you get a hollow "popping" sound. Subdued but evident to me. And hey I could be overthinking all of this and it's not so bad.
With the other wheels on last week I went for an evening cruise on some open freeway. The difference between 60 mph and 70 mph where the rpm is over 3000 is noticeable. Too bad I can't drive 70 everywhere!
The car is running decent so far. Haven't had a chance to look at the choke again. Bonus is it looks like the rear pan leak has subsided Small issue is there looks to be something at the front. Haven't looked too close but I get a drip down to the sway bar.
