Nice, a Ghia and a 2.8. That's a smoking deal for the condition. Too bad it isn't a manual though! The dash pad even looks perfect!

The guy who is selling it bought it from the original owner, a 92 year old woman. It has been garaged it's whole life.

Personally, I think we will know when the Fox Body "arrives". It will be the day that someone buys this and then just fixes it up and leaves it like it is. Green and Tan and 2.8. People restore '65 200CID 3 speed Mustangs, they don't ALWAYS get turned into 5.0 5 speed primer black with black dyed interior. I know one person on FEP who is way ahead of the game. I think his username is Roush something or other. He has a minty fresh early coupe. The price may keep it from going directly to someone who will spray paint the interior black but that person is only one or two owners away.

It will be a shame if this car is NOT preserved as is. I think there's enough of us out here already that can appreciate the car for what it is. Unfortunately, I can't hold anymore in my stable.

I agree. I have two original examples. If It were cheaper and I had space i would consider it.

Thank you Homer302 for the kind words. I don't really think I am "ahead of the game", I'm merely the original owner who wanted to make a worn but not abused car look better. Many years later, I have a nicely restored car. Yes, there are very few low-performance early-year stock-condition well-preserved four eyes out there. Like you said, when nice cars like this turn up, I typically want to see the car preserved or restored to stock or near stock.

Unfortunately, the guy that is selling the car says that if it doesn't sell, he's going to put a V8 in it.

I love this car...I wish I had the extra cash.

I'm one of those that would keep in exactly as it is.

If those pics were all taken at the same time, isn't the steering wheel on upside down?
