Default Aloha Mustang Club (Hawaii): 50th Mustang Anniversay Show March 23

I was recently on Oahu for spring break with the family and I saw a listing in the newspaper for this show. I went to the Kailua portion and some members were cruising to the other two Ford dealers on the island later in the afternoon. They had some commemorative medallions made and I picked up a couple of those and some club pins to show support. Mice people. There were at least two I heard of that were at least two taking their newer cars across the ocean and doing the Mustangs Across America drive to Charlotte!

I didn't take a lot of pictures of everything but mainly what I liked. There were the usual lot of newer Mustangs and Shelby's; modified and stock. But also a handful of '60's including a trio of red 289 coupes. A couple of early T-Birds, a model A, a Pantera and a half dozen Aero cars (mostly turbo/supercharged).

Then an original owner '84 V8, convertible Anniversary Car:

And an '85-1/2 Canyon Red SVO:

That GT350 still looks new. I like the GT coupe as well...looks like it was a cool show. I'm not big on new cars at car shows, but it seems like that's the way it goes. Personally I just don't care about looking at cars I can still see everyday at my local Ford Dealership, but that's just me.

Was that 84 Anny bought new in Hawaii or did all of them receive a dealer mark-up?
    Cheers!

It was bought in Hawaii. I talked to the lady sitting behind it who owns it and her husband had went to the dealer for something else that day and came home with it for her. My dad was with us and joked about me buying it and they were both open (jokingly?) to the idea. I'm not sure what they would have wanted though.

I can't comment on the mark-up though and whether that is something they still have. I looked at a couple of new cars on the lot and didn't see anything but freight.

I agree about the newer cars at the shows Mike. Even though some are quite modified I prefer to look at the older ones too. I did find out it costs on average (right now) $1200 US one way to take a car to the mainland from one of the members. Met some nice people. I was going to go to their monthly club meetings but couldn't get there due to traffic.
