Default EarlyCobra.com is now up - new online 79-81 Cobra resource

Just wanted to let everyone know that Bo and I's website that I had mentioned before is now online. www.earlycobra.com We launched it a few days ago in the Production facts and figures forum, but figured I would post it here for a little bit better exposure. There is still a lot of work to be done, but the registry, gallery, and a few other sections are up and working as well as the overall design of the website. If anyone has any comments, suggestions, things they'd like to see I STRONGLY encourage you to contact me. There is little information on the web about these cars so I want to make this website as complete as possible and be a resource that will benefit everyone. And thanks to a few generous board members, there are over 200 photos of 79-81 cobras on there, certainly the largest collection on the net.

We do still need people to register, we only have a few cars in the registry and a handful in the galleries that are registered cars.

    Thanks for the visit!

Do you want to track cars that are beyond repair as well? I know a local '79 that is beyond saving.

Pictures would be great, and if you have the VIN and Door tag we will certainly register the car. We will denote under current owner that the car has been parted, or is dead something to that effect. But regaurdless of the condition of the car having it registered will help give us an idea of how many are around or aren't, and how they were optioned.

    I appreciate it.

Also, if anyone has a good 1979 and 1981 Door tag decoder I need both.

Where did you get the door tag information for model year 1980 from?

UNIT175 had posted it on here some time ago, and I combined it with the information about being lowback/highback from the Fox Reference guide.

I'd prefer just to work at it online. The one book I have that has the most information (first of the five below) you can't get anymore (it's out of print and they might pop up on Ebay once per year), so I'm not going to bend the binding just to get scans. The others I have you can still buy new or find used relatively easy. Then there are factory shop manuals that have lots of information, but I don't have for any earlier than '83.
