Arrow Anyone running 99+ PBR front brakes?

I'm looking to run some PBR's up front on my 86 LX. Anyone running them and if so any pointers? I know I need to use 94+ spindles and grind them at the "ears". Are there any issues for the brake lines?
These seem to be a good cheap upgrade.
Thanks.

I had some on my '84 XR-7 and then on my '80 Z7. I just wound up using braided stainless lines. No problems with the brakes though.
IIRC I did swap to the 1" bore MC. The application I used was an '80 Mk6, but I think it's also called the "TownCar" m/c.

Grind the spindles if you're using 94/95 version. Othet than that If you get the MM stainless braided lines for the 87-93 GT from Maximum Motorsports they will come with both standard and metric Banjo bolts. My braided hoses bolted right onto the hardlines of my 86.

Cool, thanks guys, from what I've read its a pretty straight forward swap. I'll look into the MM lines.

What are you guys using for disc rears with the PBR fronts? ...Aside from swapping to an SN95 rear axle?
I know what Chuck W. used on the Z7

I'm going with a LSC rear end. I'm not worried about the width as I'm just going to roll the fenders.

On my 86 GT, that is currently 13" cobra front and drum rear, I plan on using the North Racecar Brackets and sn95 calipers, and sn95 10.6" rotors with teh Ranger length FMS 5 lug axles. I am also swapping the PBRs onto the GT and putting the 13" Cobra parts onto the Capri.

On the 86 Capri, I plan to use Cobra brakes front and rear 13" front/11.65" rear

Also need spacer for the castle nut on the ball joint.. Or replace the ball joints with some from a 94-95 mustang.. When I put the PBR's on my 86 I put new ball joints instead of the spacers..

We just finish this installation on a friends 85 GT on Sunday.
You will need the following.
94-95 spindles, we did not have to grind them, maybe got lucky.
94-95 Ball Joints.
99+ Calipers, mounting brackets, brake lines and pads, we used the stock soft lines from the 99 with one adapter, I'll try and get you a parts number for this adapter.
On the rear we installed a complete rear end from a T-Bird TC running 3.55 gears and disk brakes, we will change the axles and brake rotors to 5 lug from a 94-95 GT.
M/C and Booster from 94-95 GT.
Gut stock Prop Valve and install Wilwood Adj Prop Valve.
Running 95 Cobra R rims.

My car has the 94-95 spindles and Mach 1 (grey colour) calipers and required no grinding to install.
