Newb. With vid!

Hey guys i've always been a fan of the late model 4 eyed cars and found this site about a year ago. I did some looking around but didn't notice your svo forum. I saw that while I was here a few days ago (looking for info on an 83gtt I am buying) and decided to join and say hello.

I live outside of Tampa in sunny Florida and drive an 85 svo. I also own a 2.3t swapped 94 ranger, 96 lincoln mark8, 95mustang gt, and now an 83 gt turbo.
I mainly race the svo but safety requirements are making me build a more serious racing car. So the plan is to take the gt turbo and put cage in it. I like the fact it has manual windows and locks. Currently the car has no drive train or wiring so it will have to be built from scratch. I have 2 options for motors and haven't decided which one to use yet as i'm waiting to see what happens. It will either be a seriously built 2.3t or a stock 4.6 dohc turbo. Not really decided yet but will figure it out in the next month or so. The cage and suspension will be first then i'll pick a motor and start building.

Thats where the first race took place. There was tons of drama leading up to this run. The guy and I are on good terms but talking **** about who has the faster car is always fun. I guess now that he has better tires that now he is faster then me again

wish i had $$$ someone here in south miss. was selling a complet rolling chassis svo maroon red looked sweet!
only catch was the guy was selling it with a 289 v-8 and a tranny...... it had no svo motor
if i coulda got my hands on that i woulda loved to put an original motor back in and go to town with that turbo......
although the idea of svo with a v-8 is sweet too, but i know thats grounds for ass kickin now days RARE cars only 3 years of them.....

I'd consider it. My car is currently in the process of some nice upgrades. I'm looking to get to the 600rwhp level. I'm not sure how far I will be able to push the holset as it wasn't happy at 500. I will have the upgraded 60mm hi flow wheel and push it up around 35psi. Looks like the cam is going to have to be upgraded as well. Papa john wants me to degree it and send him the specs.
Worst thing about the all out and the track is some of them require roll bars at 11.49 or 120mph. The other tracks are 10.99 or 125-130 mph. <--forget the exact limits. When the car actually hooks and doesn't have 1.8 60ft times it should breeze into the 10's without issue.

The turbo gt was a friend of mines car that he took the motor/trans/wiring/computer out of to swap into his miata. He had tried to sell the roller for like 300 bucks but no one wanted it. I ended up buying it so I could put a cage in it and make it into a track car. I already have the c-4 setup ready for it just a matter of figuring out what power plant it gets. I have a mark8 with a teksid block and 4v heads that could be swapped in. Toss in a turbo or two and that would be fun. If I get the title for the mark8 i'll just drive it.

As for pinks you don't want none!
