I've thought about going to this gathering for the last five years, but I don't think I can afford it this year. I'm retired now and I have to watch my spending more closely.
I've been invited to a car show in Rockford Il. about that time, and I've told them I'll bring my Mustangs. Let us know how it turns out. Daryl

I'll make sure to take a lot of photos... I'll be heading down there in a three car chain... One sn95, one s197, and my four eye fox... Should be a pretty good time. There are a lot of events going on over the 4 days.

My dad and I will be out there, but not in our foxes. We'll be taking his '08 GT Mach 1 tribute

I was up there too, went with my brother in his '11 GT.

Saw the pack of SVO's at the show, the show is a nice variety of different Mustangs and the events are fun too.

Some aeros:

And the four eyes:

How I got up there:

It was a great time, a large part of why I want to get a car is to partake in these kind of events as more than a car cleaning helper.

The picture that didnt show in your tag (above) has a 351 Clevland in it. Nice guy. He stopped to help out my buddy when he sheered off his wheel studs on his 07 shelby.

If you don't like it I am accepting donations.

It looked like a good starting point for a car. It struck me as a nice solid looking car that didn't really need a whole lot in the grand scheme of things to look nice. I suppose the lack of ice melt up there may skew your opinions, down here most of those look a lot tougher than that from rust.

EDIT: Changed "did" to "didn't"

haha Well I wouldnt go that far!! Im not willing to donate it just yet! Shes an arizona car so shes badly sun beaten, but im working on bringing her back to life. The 5.8 went in shortly before the rally so I didnt get much of a chance to clean it up at all... It was just nice to make it there.

Your buddies ride that got you there looked really nice, bet that was fun to ride in!

Not as fun as driving it.

It is a 9hr run straight through (no fuel or food stops) from here, he can't do it all by himself in one day.
