    Default cannister purge valve

Anyone replace these? Confusing, number search on rock auto comes to a complete set, 4 metal cylinders (E4ZE9C915AA,) it is not listed for an 85. On the 85 GT, they show individual cylinders, not a complete set. The 4 cylinders have an electrical connection via a harness...

anyone replace them? As a whole set? By the way, what is that black cylinder? What part replaces it? No number on it...

    Why are you replacing?

Mine all seal or at least the whole assy is air tight. I believe these are normally closed.
Opposite how carb bowl solenoids operate.

I believe the black cylinder is a check valve if it connects to the engine.
If it's the other end, it is the filter for inlet air; altitude compensation.

The whole asm is quite a piece of work. Huh!

Those have nothing to do with canister purge. Those are altitude compensation solenoids.

They are listed on various sites as canister purge valves. I thought they had something to do with AC. Who knows if they still work. I was going to replace during the resto. Question though..as original question... Using the part numbers, for a complete set they don't show up under the 85, but they do show up under another car. Can I use the complete set since it has same part number?
