    Default 2016 Calendar Preview Thread

Check either the top of the forum-ish area for an announcement with a scrolling discount code, or the forum news area for current discount info!

These sales are determined by the PRINTER, not me, and I get NO advanced notice about them. I'm going looking for them in hopes that y'all can benefit from it.

Since the printer doesn't offer a look inside, and I think you should be able to take a look-see before you buy, here's a quick preview of what you'll see (these are clips of screencaps, so they may look a touch wonky and don't represent the actual printed image):

I like it, but it would be nice to see to see a few more convertibles next year. Maybe mine will be up to snuff by then.

I agree, with very few pictures to be found. It deserves a LONG thread.

Really cool to be in the new Calendar this coming year and thank you for the really cool compliments and comments on my car. I think I am going to take your advise Mike and finally do a build thread for my car. I have had a few people ask why I hadn't done one, so I think I will take the time to do it! Thank you again for giving me the honor of being in the 2016 Calendar!

None were submitted that met the image size requirements. The calendar is a reflection of what is submitted. The number one reason why submissions don't get used is that they were not large enough. If it isn't a 10 MP image, or darn close, it can't be used. The printer is the one who sets the requirements and the requirements are clearly stated in the post requesting submissions.

If you are proud enough of your car to submit it for a calendar, go ahead and hire a professional photographer to take the pics. It won't cost that much and you will know you will get good quality images that will meet the criteria for the calendar. Just be sure you explain to the photographer that you want to use the pictures to submit for a calendar. My guy didn't have an issue with that. Even if you don't make the calendar at least you will have some really nice high quality pics to keep. I wish I had better pictures of some of the cars I used to own. I am glad the calendar made this year and I bet we have an even better response next year!

I agree, or you could use the advice posted by our own resident pro photographers to help us get those good to great shots of our cars.

    True enough on both counts.

But, really, a little attention to detail, patience, willingness to learn, and the improvement made in the photos someone takes will be monumental. There is a difference between snapshots and pictures. Most people take snapshots. We need pictures for something like a calendar.

Thanks Bryan! I am definitely going to get the badges and a few minor cosmetics fixed before spring. I plan on getting a bunch of good photos over the summer in preparation for next year's calender.

I think you should get some of your vert and submit them also. I love the color combo!
