There's a cool car in there somewhere, we just need to clean the pro-street off to find it. I am so glad that movement has (pretty much) run its coarse.
    Cheers!

I like Pro Street for cars of the 70s/80s

It relives the rich NHRA Pro Stock scene of that era

Btw, if there is a scene I can't wait to run its course it is the restomod with the slammed
suspension and the DUB wheels. What a way to ruin a nice classic car!!!

Nice. Very detailed description in the ad too. Check out the little sign hanging on the rear view mirror.

I would love to see the picture from the front of all the cars there. There's a lot of nice rides floating around in the background.

I like the resto-modded cars and the idea of taking a classic body and updating it so it drives like a modern vehicle. I agree that the huge rim fad needs to end though. Anything over 17 inches is too big for my taste, but otherwise I think resto-modded cars are awesome.

In 20 years it will be funny to hear what people think of those huge wheels. It will be just like the pro-street look, very dated and almost comical. I can't see a tastefully done pro-touring car falling into that catagory though. They just look too nice.
    Cheers!

At least Pro Street was functional - it improves 1/4 mile performance

Most of that dub crap just wrecks the handling of the car

Pro-touring cars are set up for handling, so I'm not sure I follow?

Eh, we are veering off thread here....

I'm just not fond of the more extreme Pro Touring class.

I like that Cobra II. It looks mean and nasty!

Sometimes but not always. Years ago there was a guy with a '67 Pro Street Camaro that used to attend our weekly cruise nights and while it was a beautiful car (Boston's World of Wheels, Car Craft Magazine feature), it wasn't fast by any means. It had a blown big block 454 and it was only running 12.90's @ 108. It was also a 3 speed automatic with steep gears to boot. Imagine that thing on the highway with those tires and gears?

My small tired Cobra with half the motor is faster than that and I can take it on 3 hour cruises regularly to different states at 75-80 mph.

If it had wheelie bars and needed them, then I'd say cool.

I don't have much to say about the one posted but I will say one day I'll own a 78King Cobra.

Oh man, with the utmost humble respect, it is an awesome machine, and its homage to the badest little street machine around, the Jaws II/ 'Sudden Death' Mustang II. Even I, a little Kiwi from the bottom of the planet, know what an awesome tool that Pro Street Gapp and Roush machine was, I guess it practically bankrolled Roush and then created a new category of hard and fast Big Block Pro Streeters from the latest body style.

I like it a lot. Not $16k worth, but still.....

It appears to be, or could easily be, a functional 1/4 mile machine with good driveline parts, yet still steetable enough for some cruising. What's not to like about a narrowed 9" and toploader? Bulletproof. Just my style of car.

    Agreed!

I don't care for a stock looking Mustang IIs, I always thought that they needed more tire under them.

Pro-street a lesser desirable body style, why not?

I like it except for the flames. I am a ghost flame person if there is going to be flames. I would drive it. Not for that price but I would.
