    Default tranny line

Trying to figure out how remove and replace this fitting on the transmission line to the radiator. I'm assuming the fitting comes off .......

It's a quick disconnect fitting. I think the ac/fuel line disconnect tools work on transmission lines too.

Not vouching for the quality of this particular kit, but something like this....

Probably could just get the individual tool if you know the right size...

It's tough to get any disconnect tool on there because of where the bend is. The tool should slide in between the hard line and the plastic clip correct?

Yea, it should. I see your issue there... definitely not much room before that bend in the line. Dunno, but maybe one of those "scissor-tyoe" tools may work there. Approach the connection 180° out from the bend... might squeeze in there.

The scissor type disconnect tool should work on that...at least the ones I have would. The transmission fluid pressure is purdy low pressure at around 30 psi, so some atf rubber line will work fine with worm clamps securing them. I say this to give you an alternative to be able to pick something up locally at an auto parts store. I used these Dorman 624-224 units...see attatched...with some atf rubber lines attached with worm clamps. I will say I did use double...in an opposing fashion...stainless steel worm clamps at each connection. I did this on my F350 many years ago and everything is still fine today.

The disconnect tools I have would not work so I made my own, a piece of plastic fuel line split to slip over the metal line, worked great. The tools I have wouldn't go deep enough to release the clip.Name: transtool.jpg
