1 of 15 Paint/Trim Codes...nice! It is obvious what the Paint Code is...in this case being Medium Charcoal Metallic...but what are the Trim Codes. I am guessing GLX, maybe interior Black Leather Bucket Seating, and possibly something else...but have always wondered about this on these reports.

kinda wondered about that also.. my cars marti report says under 400 in the color and one of 18 with the paint/trim codes. always wondered what that included.

"Trim" in the statistics box refers to the INT TRIM code on the door tag, and in this case it is code EA.

So the "paint/trim" statistic on this report is for all 1983 coupes with paint code 1B and trim code EA.

Yes I have everything except the build sheet I haven't looked for it yet but I know it has to be still in there. I will get pics and post it

Could you elaborate on this a little? What exactly does Trim Code EA include and where can one find what different Trim Codes are?

"INT TRIM" is interior trim, i.e. type and material of front and rear seats, and interior color(s).

Int Trim code "EA" is explained under "Door Data Plate Information" on Marti reports.

My breakdown of that code is a little different but the same idea...

EA = leather seating, low-back front buckets (E), Black interior color (A)

For the 1983 model year, the seat material/types were:

A = vinyl seating, high-back front buckets
B = cloth & vinyl seating, high-back front buckets
C = vinyl seating, low-back front buckets
D = cloth & vinyl seating, low-back front buckets
E = leather seating, low-back front buckets
F = cloth & vinyl seating, low-back front buckets
H = cloth "Sport" seating, low-back front buckets

And interior colors were:

A = Black
B = Academy Blue
D = Medium Red
E = Walnut
N = Opal & Red
Q = Opal & Blue
W = Opal & Black
2 = Opal & Walnut

Oh this is that cool '83 coupe that was for sale by the original owner a couple of months ago. I'm glad somebody on here bought it. It would be nice if somebody could find out how many '83 coupes had leather, that has to be a very low number.

I took the interior apart looking for the build sheet. on driver side behind the quarter panel cover I found a mint build sheet but taped to it was a build sheet for a different car. anyone ever hear of that? I also found another copy of mine under the driver side floor carpet also mint

Finding a build sheet from another car in your has happened but it it not a very common occurrence.

I know on the 83's TBirds, sometimes build sheets can be found under the seat. I have one waiting to be removed.
