The car probably isn't all it's made out to be. Anytime someone is selling something and they take the less is more approach, I question whatever they are selling. It makes it appear that they are hiding something.

    thats just downright sad.
Man Adam, the bottom of that red car was awesome, now im back to losing sleep again that was really a bargain of a car. I just wish it had been an 86.....I'm stuck on the fuelies now......
but, you know the real car I wish I had of yours.....the 5400 dollar 86 GT!! that was an awesome car for the money....still miss that car....and it was right down the road at the time, no shipping...you have always sold your cars for reasonable prices considering the condidtion of them...

This owner is way out in orbit.........he feels this car is "one of the nicest in the country" and "you wont find a nicer one with this low original miles". Uneducated sellers like this are impossible to deal with........just a warning for potential serious buyers.

You should send him a link to the photobucket pics of your 85 red GT. If I were trying to sell a car at $10,000 and knew that one sold for $9000 I would be worried.
I still think he will get close to the 10,000 mark. It's all about how much disposable income/money a potential buyer has and if they have been looking for a long time. Someone who had one of these in the 80's or always wanted one and now has some extra cash may see this and figure it's a good deal. Most of us on here have looked at thousands of these ads and always compare cars we come across to ones that we saw for sale in the last year or so. We are a tough crowd

Sure someone could walk away 9-9.5k for sure with cash in hand.
That car looks amazing and is loaded to the tilt.I paid extra just for
the a/c t tops electric windows not an easy find in Canada.
if I didn't have my 86 gt with t tops I would have allready been there

If that car was mine, and if I didn't 'need' the money, I wouldn't part ways with it for penny less than 10k. It's a beautiful T-Top GT, in a very good shape.

I just came home from new Civic-Sentra-Corolla shopping for a friend, 26k for a Civic EX, are you kidding me? 10k doesn't sound much to me right now, after series of sticker shocks.

    Here's my opinion...

If you are buying ANY car hoping that one day it will go up in price that's a big gamble unless you happen to have a crystal ball.

If you've been searching high and low for a low mileage unmolested LRB 85 T-top then what difference does it make if you pay $8500 or $10K?? The point is that it has to be the EXACT car you are searching for. If it is then don't worry about what people on a forum think it's worth. Figure out what it's worth to YOU and screw the consequences.

The only issue I personally have with spending such big dollars on a car like this is the simple fact that the 5.0 Fox Mustang is one of the greatest cars ever to mod. It accepts even minor modifications so well and is SO much more fun to drive when it's been tweaked that for me since I've owned and driven a modified Fox, I simply can't ever see wanting a bone stock one ever again.
