86 ASC Coupe registry

I found an '86 ASC Mclaren in the Junkyard yesterday afternoon. I'm going to try and get my friend to get the VIN and door tag to add to the registry. its white, gray interior, sunroof and EFI 5.0 5-speed. it looked like it had been sitting under a tree for a decade, but prior to that it was driven hard, with oil leaking everywhere and the drivers seat torn from wear. this car should have been sold to someone for restoartion instead of being at this JY rotting away.

the oddest thing about this car is the decals.. they were all in black, something i never saw before.

Did anyone ever check this car out?

The followup is in the smashed foxes thread whcih for some reason I cant find right now. The car was crushed by the tank in Germany If I remember correctly. The drivetrain and wheels have been transplanted into a 80ish Mustang.

A member on another site told me there is a black with orange mclaren coupe owned by a guy 4 or 5 towns over from me. He has 5 or 6 very nice Ford products. If this is true its a one of one car. Hope to run into it at some point.

The more I think about it its probably a eurocoupe. They made 22 black ones in 86.

Supposedly there is a 20,000 mile black and silver coupe in Tomahawk, WI. A guy at my local body shop supply said he tried to buy it a couple years ago from the original owner.

#032 - white with orange stripes, 5 speed. An old friend owns it.

I bought car #032 new. It came from Chesaning Mi Mercury dealer and transfered to Sandusky Mi Mercury dealership Tubbs Brothers. I still have paperwork on this car along with pics when new. The last I knew it is still in the area Car #007 Is a white/orange car also I looked at it new in Saginaw. I talked to the owners a few years ago and it is still in the area.

FC, I am open to taking any info but it seems from the asc site that some of the owners are leary about giving their vin numbers. I am also open to adding them to the database. Iwill send along my info when I get some free time.

If ASC members are leary about giving up their VIN, perhaps the cars could be listed by year & CUN (last 6).

Mandra's name is John and has a white coupe with an automatic trans (1 of 9). I don't know the number or the color of the stripes. Hey there! Somehow I missed this thread entirely. I do in fact have the #38 White/Orange car. It will be restored but it has to wait it's turn. Car came to me with no stripes no ground effects or head/tail covers. Coil springs chopped poorly as an owner before me was autox crazy. Oh and some previous owner decided it would be a good idea to rattle can spray everything on the car white - mirrors, moldings, tail, grill, rims...

Other than that though the car is cherry in that it has the original engine/trans and rear in the car
