No body is making either side, there were just alot more drivers sides than passengers.

Kendal - I thought there was a run of driver's side re-pops....wasn't Daniel Carpenter involved? Or was this just discussions that never materialized?

I thought that I read somewhere the Drivers Side was available and the tooling for the passenger side was damaged?

I think Danial Carpenter made one side, the Tooling from Ford for the other was MIA or broken. They made one run of repops then that was it.

Daniel Carpenter bought out all the outside lights from Ford. There were a bunch of left sides. He has been selling them off. He did not make them. He did make the inners and the 86 headlights. If anyone has a repo left side I have not seen it. Please step forward if you have one.

It's been hard finding new replacement lights for the SVO so it's nice that someone can reproduce them. i'd like to purchase some.

No one is reproducing them now. DC was reproducing the inner and the headlights. No one has ever reproduced the outers.

Be careful of the inner marker lights too. They are a very nice fit but poorly assembeld.
The lenses are glued to the body right over top of the inner chrome plating. Both of my lenses fell off the first time I closed the hood hard after I put them on. I had to sand off the chrome plating around the edges down to bare plastic and reglue the lenses back on.

Wow, I did not know that. DC only did one run of those and they do not plan to do them again. Took too long to sell.

Yes, I had to re glue mine too. Not a big problem to get new lights.

I don't know why I said there was not a big problem to get new lights. I was thinking of something else I guess. They are sold out.

The inner lights aren't a problem to get. Just the outer ones.
Or did they stop repopping those now too?

Yes they are sold out too. I talked to Daniel Carpenter at Carlisle last year and he didnt have anything planned for the svo in the near future.
It didnt sell as fast as he would have liked.

Yep, I was told they do not plan to do another run of the inners. No profit in it and way too long to sell the ones they produced.

New member here. Long time original owner of an 85 svo. I know this is a very old thread but I was wondering what ever became of the marker lenses? Are they available?

I was referring to the original poster about the lenses that he was having made. Wondering if he ever had them made. I am aware that the factory mold was broken.

Yep, there was a small number of them reproduced (pass side lens). I think 100? The one I used to have, I think Ken has now.

I went back and read the first / original post. Yes I have one of these lenses. It has "Opaqued" some and isn't clear.
