I do, in my 85lx. Its the premium sound radio with the knobs, pushbutton, and cassette player, also the small amp thing still works. I guess it wasn't used much. The only thing wrong with it is that there is the knobs are faded.
    I use it everyday...

all my friends thats road with ask "how do you find different stations with it?" lol.......

The Premium Sound unit in my '85 vert works...however, the display light and the cassette player don't. Thinking about pulling and repairing or getting another period correct unit...maybe get a better amp too as the Premium Sound don't sound so Premium anymore...LOL

My '85 GT still has a working AM/FM radio but at times the left speaker cuts out. This has bothered me for years now. I've checked the wire going to that speaker and it's fine. If someone can tell me what to do next, I would appreciate it.

Same issue with the '79 5dr. The light started work again after disconnecting/reconnecting the moulded connectors. The deck still doesn't work. I have to admit, with new speakers the PS sounds pretty good in the large cabin of the wagon. The 'Amp Pull' bulb has slightly melted the plastic grommet.

Looks stock and people oogle over the "old school" look and function.

Thanks, I thought about that after trying to set the time and date on the clock numerous times...it finally allowed me to set them last night.

The '84 lx I bought last year still has the original AM/FM cassette player and speakers. Although there are 2 AM push buttons. The FM must have been lost some time ago. I even aquired the former owners Charlie Pride cassette still in the player. Yikes!

8-track and cassette were options. My '79 Wagon has the premium sound AM/FM cassette player.

    Resurrecting an old thread.

My car was originally a "Radio Delete" model that has an AM/FM Stereo/8-Track Player that was dealer installed. I have the factory front two 3.5" in-dash speakers, but no rear speakers.

I want to replace the front speakers with the Pioneer TS-A878 3.5" models and add two speakers to the rear. What speakers do you guys have installed in the rear? Will 6x9's fit without modifications or do I need to use 6x8's?
