    IMHO . . .

I agree that it's a great thing to rescue a cat or a dog ---- though, as with a child, it's a responsibility.

Needless to say, adopted animals should be taken care of or the rescue does little for the animal.

When I adopted Midnight, she was on the doorstep of our office building which is on a busy street.

As the others have said, I encourage responsible people to help out needy animals.

Good on you for taking care of her. Not a huge fan of letting cats being outdoors but if you plan on going that route please do not de-claw the poor girl.

I had indoor/outdoor cats growing up. All but one we taken out by cars. Now the GF & I keep our pets indoors.

That is one sweet lookin' kitty. I luvs 'em, too.

Sometimes I think that I should get another kitty cat so that Midnight could have a friend ---- but one is about all I can handle right now. There are some other cats (and dogs) that live on my road that I see outside sometimes.

Midnight has calmed way down from her little bitty days ---- well, for the most part anyway. Last Friday morning I was holding her and I fell off of the deck. She left a couple of scratches on my chest. Shirtless plus kitty cat don't always mix.

People never change no matter where they are. I found a staffordshire bull terrier wandering a very very busy street in montreal after helping out a friend with his car. No collar nothing. I grabbed him because there was no chance the police wouldnt shoot him as to the hysteria most people have. Sweetest dog super calm, sweet and a big baby. Loved my aussie cattle dog / mix however my gf was amazingly allergic so we had to find a home for him instead of the pound where theyd put him down right away. It took a couple days but we found soemone for him.

Nice save of the kitten. We adopted one from a local cat rescue group a few months ago. Turns out, he's showing all the traits of being a Maine Coon, including the penchant for getting himself into trouble..lol. It's amazing to see him actually stop and think about what he wants to do.....can see the gears turning in his head.

    6 months old:

LOL....that he does. You can't really tell by the pics, but his paws are freaking huge.....can't wait to see how big he will be. At 6 mos, he's almost as big as our 2 y/o female Manx, so he is going to be huge...lol.

Cats are beyond cool. We have two cats and two dogs. One dog is 100 lbs and the other is 50 lbs but this guy rules the house.

This is Tigger and he takes no crap from the dogs. Even though he has no front claws the dogs both respect him. If they get too close or he's in one of those moods he'll chase them through the house. It's pretty funny to see him chasing the big dog and swatting at him while he runs.

When Tigger is on the floor the dogs make a point of going way out around him when they walk past. Nobody messes with the Tiggamiester.

If Tigger's expression doesn't say, "Don't mess with me!", then nothing does.
