    Default 81 Capri RS Turbo

About 10 years ago I saw this car on a farmers yard and asked about it. He said that it belonged to his son who worked a province over and that it had been parked for about 5 years already. I tried to buy it right then and there.. no luck. Two months ago a friend of mine drives up in this and tells me that he got it as a roller for free??!? I couldn't believe it, but good to see it driving instead of rotting.
The turbo drivetrain was out of the car and my friend already had a 302 / 4 speed hanging around so that is what it's running for the moment.

There's the "T" turbo engine, available only in Canada in '81 and '82.

Any more info on this car? Buck Tag? VC (door) label? Options? Kilometers?

So what's up with the hood? Looks to be a glass hood. Aluminum plates and holes have me wondering.

It's the factory hood with the scoop / cowl molded to it w/ body filler. The twin hood grills are out and the stainless covers are to keep crap out of the engine bay.
The dash has been reworked with some old gauges and stainless instrument panels as well. It needs a good bit of work, which it's current owner won't do b/c he's having too much fun with the car as it is. Secretly, I wish that it would give him a bunch of grief so that he'd sell it to me like I originally wanted. As it is right now, I can't get him to stop smiling long enough to even ask him if he'll ever sell it.
In the mean time, I'll get the Door and Buck tag info from it and list some of the options.

    1) T-roof of course.
    2) Power package. windows and locks.
    3) (originally) 4cyl. Turbo w/ 4 speed tranny.
    4) Black interior
    5) Unsure about original A/C. Not in car atm.
