So hooked up the electric pump today, still doesn't run worth crap
Gets going then starts sputtering around 3k RPM in third, and then does it in second after I get it going again, then won't start at all... I can't afford to do anything more on this car and it pains me, I might be parking her for a while

    EDIT:
Found out why the pump didn't do anything, I forgot to unclamp my fuel line. Took off the turtle-jaws and voila, runs like a dream!

latest and greatest, turns out the fuel pump return line was blocked off so the excess pressure from the electric pump was just going straight into the carb instead of back to tank... lovely
and it has been smelling a bit like antifreeze sometimes while I'm driving... glad I got the top end gasket set, but not glad I won't be able to get it done before I go off to school
I also need to dig into the brakes and get the rears all bled out
for anyone interested in the car, it's posted up in the classifieds

Me too, I just wish he would post some updates, haven't heard anything from the car since he popped by to grab the TURBO badges... But at least the buckets were sprayed black!

It really would, I already miss hearing that turbo winding up...
I might just go looking for another 2.3t this summer if I get a good job, try making something useful out of a carb car with all of the machining equipment I now have access to

I think there is a 82 Capri turbo not too far from me that lives on Hiway 9... I plan to meet the owner in the next month.

Less than 300 turbo Capris made in '82. Should all have been sold in Canada. Would be neat to see another one around here. I have five in the database, one deceased (one of about 20 GSes).

Youuu should pick that car up, and hold it for me until I can afford to buy it

And Foxchassis, that car could in all likelyhood be a Canadian car, seattle is just south of me, and I would imagine around those days the American dollar was strong enough that a trip up to Canada would save some good cash on a new car.

Damn, I hope it can wait for me to finish school then haha. Depending how much I can scrape up this summer though, I might be able to put my 86 together and make the trip to the BBQ!
