Hey Neil, have you decided about doing a drive/cruise during the BBQ? I still say all 50+
4 eyes heading down the freeway would be quite a sight.

I was talking to fantom 2 nights ago about that...example...meet at the rest stop and spill onto the freeway for 6 miles then back roads with no stoplights...total of 15 or 20 miles of pretty roads...just a thought.

So I am writing out invites today and in the process of going through all of my 3 x 5 index cards with the names and info of fellow 4-eye owners, I have tossed out 62 cards for reasons like: moved, sold, no replies for 3 years, crashed cars, passed away, ect. Then I understood that this little gathering is the very thing we all need to keep the Fox cars popular. The cars need us just as much as we need them. I still have in excess of 200 contacts, and more will be traveling long distances this year. I have replaced the 62 tossed with 41 new contacts in the last year....that's the way it works. Time is midnight, fourty-four. Night.

I mailed out 46 registrations today, only got 144 more to go, plus the ones that have contacted me on hotmail that I have not made cards on yet....kind of makes up for the 60+ I tossed out.

If you look at the 2009 pictures in the big red link below, you will see a young man with his white Capri called "Parking lot hot rod", that would be my younger son, who owned at the time a beater Fairmont that was decorated with duct tape and a shoe box for a hood scoop. I did not let that one in the field. The day after the 2009 BBQ, he bought a 78 Mont 4dr. that is a real survivor, and sold the Capri, so you will have company. I will park you two at the end of the field, pointing at the rest of the line up. You will be in the "official field", however, the count of 4-eye cars reported will be Capri, Mustang, SVO. If you want to attend, send me a PM with your full name, mailing address, and contact number and I will get the registration to you in the mail. I have seen your pics, and the car is very nice.

    Neil,

Looks like I will finally be able to make it this year. Now I need to get the beast cleaned up and fix a few things so it is presentable. Look forward to meeting everyone, seeing some nice cars and going for a cruise. Reg will be in the mail soon.

I need to drop the trans to replace the bearing retainer and clutch to get rid of an annoying rattle, but you never know what that will lead to, LOL!
