Yep, right behind Serrano's, and it is the Sonic on Higley/Germann.

I thought Firebird was closed on Friday nights until May...I just checked the schedule and it's kinda vague. Unless you're Team Firebird or something.

I'm up Ellsworth in NE Mesa. Once I get the wagon done I'll try to make one of those shows.

Ken, it'd be good to see you again, it's probably been 15 years since we talked (right after you swapped the Fairmont from the '93 donor). Your car was still white then. Not that you remember me, but your car is a small part of the reason I am building the wagon.

You guys are the best. My car needs lots of work. It looks better in the pictures than in person. I'd love to talk again. I got a quick story....I joined Facebook last week and got a friend request from someone in Ohio. I didn't recognize the name (it was Matt Keller) but I answered him anyway. He said your the Ken Newman with the bad a$$ Fairmont aren't you? You guys (and Skye) know how to make an old man's day with stuff like that. We need to have a Fairmont gathering soon.

If you look at the webiste, firebirdraceway.com, it shows they're running Friday night drags the 9th and 16th of April. We also run Team Firebird because my youngest daughter runs a Jr Dragster in that program, and the next Team Firebird race is scheduled for May 22nd. I will, however, call them tomorrow just to make sure as they tend to change things last minute.

If you come out, stop by - You can't miss it because it'll definitely be the only flat black boxtop out there.

I guess I'm surprised we haven't already met out there. I'm running the baby blue Capri, dad has the red Capri and now mom is getting in on the action with a Canyon Red Capri. All stick cars of course. Stop by and say hey if we're stuck in the staging lanes during the 9:00 track prep session.

very good thread since i dont just plan on lowering mine, i plan on air bagging it all around.. getting around the front should be a nice lil trick

quarterstang86 - how adjustable are those struts? i'm assuming the camber caster plates are a must for it to be lowered?

How did you get all that meat under the car, especially the front? That is a wierdly sweet car. Ever thought about adding a Mach 1 lip to the front to kinda visually lower it in front?

Is this the same one that was done some years ago?

I want the car to sit low all the way around with the tires that are on it now.

If you look in the background, you will see the old springs.

    hey still have them springs?
