Very nicely done! It reminds me of one I saw maybe 8-10 years back, a couple of doors down from a buddies house, sitting and rotting away in the driveway..... Wish I could have seen these pictures then, your car looks amazing!

I wasn't able to find anyone to make original lower stripes, so I cheated:

PM me your addy and I'll send you a sample of each one. If they match your stripes, I've got enought left over to send you for the front air dam.

John, I honestly have only put a few miles on the car since I've bought it. From the little I've actually driven this RS, it drives like any other fox body Mustang. But it's nothing like the SVO.

    Default Exhaust Upgrade

Ok, ever since I repainted the car, there was one thing that I had on the to-do list. Upgrade the exhaust back to the twin tips. The car has/had a standard 5.0 LX tail pipe as seen below.

When I bought the car, it still had the original style exhaust including the twin tip, but the entire system was rotted. After I removed the system, I cut what was left of the twin tip and stored it away. Well today, I cleaned up the tip and welded it to the tail pipe. Here is what I ended up with:

This shot shows how much of the LX tail pipe I ended up cutting off:

Here are a few more shots:

That was my New Year's day task....

I missed this thread before. The car looks great. Yesterday's weather was great. I actually washed my cars with the garage door open. Usually this time of year I have to put them in the shop overnight with the heat on. Joe, why does this have PA plates on it? Have you really not driven this car since you bought it?

Yes, the weather was pleasant this past weekend. It was nice to be able to work without needing a heater running.

Well the thread is pretty old, but I figured that I would just put the update attached. The full rebuild thread on this 84 RST is here:

Next time we meet up, I'll give you the back story about the PA plates. And no, I haven't really driven it since I bought it. I only put a few miles every so often to keep the fluids flowing.
