Everything is good. The little one is getting big. We are thinking about moving to Des Moines or Minneapolis after my sisters wedding in April. Can't right now due to vacation time. Just looking for a change.

That would be an easy decision for me, but then I was born & raised near Des Moines & like the small town feel there.
Minneapolis traffic would stop me from wanting to live there in a heart beat.
I have friends there who wouldn't leave for anything...they love living up there in the Minneapolis Suburbs?

Born and raised in southwest Iowa. Page county. Coin Iowa. I doubt anyone knows where that is. Coin is between Clarinda and Shanendoah.

Cruised Redoak and Nebraska city. When we where bored we would head 10 miles south into MO or 60 miles north west into Council bluffs/Omaha.

Family still owns the farm and my mothers side of the family is still in Coin except for one cousin in Sydney.

I miss it but will probably never move back unless I was to start farming and I am getting way to old for that.

Born in Iowa City, raised in Davenport. Joined the Marines and lived in North Carolina for a while. Moved back to the quad cities and here to stay. Just got a 86 GT convertible and have lots of plans for it.

I'm just now seeing this thread. I've been a member for 10 years now, but I do live in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It is great to see that other Iowa FEP members are on here too.

Ron, I never made it to the 5& dine car show yesterday. I was to busy running my daughter to dance class. I did drive by about 4 times thought. Still same old cars there as always

We didn't make it either. We ended up bringing our 2 1/2 year old daughter with us and are staying in a B & B near Marshalltown. Oh well, maybe next time back here.

Des Moines here, I heard when NASCAR bought the Newton Speedway they talked about putting in a 1/4 mile strip. Anyone else heard that?

Hey Mustang owners from Iowa, May 3rd is the 5th annual Bad Boys Mustang Car Show. Its at the Sugar Shack in Altoona from 11 am to 4 pm. It's open to all makes and models but there will be a good mount of Mustang. It also marks the start of cruise nights at the Sugar Shack every Sunday afternoon from May 3rd through September.

    Stop and have a look.
