Question 1979 Pace Car Cluster Interchange.

    Hey Guys

I just converted my 79 Pace Car from a 2.3 Turbo to a 5.0 5-speed, everything is done and it runs great but the factory 8k tach is way off and bounces all over.
My Question is will a cluster/tach out of any non-Turbo 79-82 Mustang with the 4-6-8 switch on the back work in my car. Also can i just switch the tach or will i have to switch the whole cluster out ?

    Thanks
    Jay

Just swap the tach, make sure you use the '79 circuit board on the cluster, the later style circuit boards are a different color and not compatible.

Perfect, thanks for the info kj 80cobra, now the search for a tach/cluster begins.
