Post 2.3L EFI Turbo Service Manual

I searched this site, but could not find this manual here. It is Ford's 2.3L EFI turbo engine service manual, P/N 2107-004. If it doesn't exist anywhere, I could scan it and upload it here.

Well, it is 86 pages. but for FEP...not a problem. Would like to put it into a PDF after scanning - need to find a program to do that.

Just wonder if Ford gets anal about copyright issues (have to ask since I just completed a mandatory copyright training module at work).

I'm not 100% sure but I believe if something has been out of print for a certain length of time it goes into public domain and can be copied. Thats true for music anyway. Not sure about books. I could be wrong.

    Umm.

If you scan that can you either post it here or email me a copy [turbo 2.3 manual in subject]. I have a 86 TC and that would be awesome to have for working underhood.

    Thanks.

Look online for a program called CutePDF. There's a freeware version available. It installs and gives you a virtual printer. Any program that can print to a printer, can instead send the file to CutePDF, which turns the document into a PDF. It works decent.

Manuals like this can be hard to find. If you have the time and motivation to do it, it'll surely help someone at some point.

Doh! Just replied to a zombie thread.

If you like, you can scan the pages as images, upload them to my Dropbox account and I can compile a high-resolution PDF book and make it available for download.

There are a couple copies of this manual on Ebay, but both are in less than ideal condition. One is about $30 and the other is listed for about $75. I was thinking maybe pick up a copy and start at the other end, but not at nearly $1/page...

At the time I got my copy, I didn't know how lucky I was. It was dated Aug 2006 and printed right in my own home town. And for those who are familiar with Mike Fleming, a highly knowledgeable SVO disciple and owner, he wrote the preface inside the front cover and an update on the inside rear cover.

hey wvragtop- got family that lives down that way in gap mills wv- "middle of nowhere"! I've considered relocating to wv but it's hard to follow through because of the massive lifestyle change. Did you by any chance used to visit a saleen chat website back in the early 2000's? I remember someone from huntington wv on an old mustang site I used to go to. Just for the hell of it figured I'd see if it was the same guy. Think his name was derick?

    Also-

Still looking forward to getting a copy of the 2.3 manual!

Sorry....was out of town for two weeks and now have a LOT of catching up to do. Now that it seems more people are interested in this, I'll try to bump it up in priority.
