I had a great time too. Much better parking with the LTD folks. I really think they ought to have a Fox section rather than everyone parking in different spots. There was a great looking resotred Z7 there with the inline. Red with a white top. Fantastic restoration.

Kudos to Navy Cat for keeping that inline. It's sooo tempting to go with a 5.0. Not that 5.0's are bad, it's just nice to see them original.

Hemlocks RS stroker was quite nice. I'm glad I was able to meet the Capri folks. The tan one from Lancaster I liked too. I don't remember the young man's name. He even had a little twin model of the car.

It was funny, a whole row of six LTD LXs with 5.0's and my inline Cougar. Thanks for welcoming me to the LX row.

I was real impressed with the Mavericks. Especially with the copper one with the Jag suspension. Very cool.

FFF in general didn't seem as organized this year. But it all turned out well. I was surprised at all the wagons that didn't get to come this year. I didn't see any Fairmonts and only Brien's LTD wagon. Yes I'm a wagon nut. The ride back to Ridgecrest was a little hot. I'll have to get my A/C back up and running. Only one mishap on the way home. A pigeon got hit at 80 mph. Feathers everywhere. Poor thing. But, he was sitting in the middle of the middle lane and never moved. I think my air dam whacked him good. At least it was instant. I never knew they had that many feathers. The guy behind me probably picked up all 3,000 feathers in his radiator.

I did notice this wagon. Quite ugly but cool none-the-less:

Yeah I think next year all the Capri guys need to meet somewhere prior to going in so at least all the Capri's get placed together. I thought they were going to have sections for each car model. I was kinda bummed they didn't make more of an effort to put us in the same section. We should also petition to have all the Fox bodies put together near the Mustang section for next years show. There was a lot of empty spaces over in that section. They could have easily fit all the LTD's and Capri's in that empty space.

or what we should all do is list all the foxes under "other" so that way imo is the only way we can all be together, so maybe someone needs to talk with the persons in charge of the show and see what they can do. or better yet is put us all on the grass?

Yea that's Jim. I'm terrible with names when I meet several new people all at once. He told me about the 4 door. I was definately impressed with the Z7.

Too bad he couldn't drive both at the same time so he could have both there.

    Default '85 LTD Squire

My car is the Squire seen in the photos with its second appearance at the Ford show. It has a 1990 Mustang 5.0L with a FRPP "Z" T-5 in it with many additions/changes to come. To those that keep pressing me to keep the Squire trim, you may now relax! The Squire trim will remain and get restored at some point. It will just have to remain "ugly" for a while!

I had a blast at the show this year! It was great to get together for breakfast and "break bread" with fellow Ford Freaks! Then later at the show I had a chance to get caught up with almost everyone!

Steve, it was a great pleasure to finally meet you, along with your son and his friend, and have your wagon parked next to mine. I am also a wagon enthusiast! I had the choice to either build an '85 LTD LX or the '85 LTD Squire. I chose the Squire and have not been the least bit disappointed. It's a lot of fun to drive and no one expects to be beaten by a wagon!

I have seen several suggestions regarding the classes offered at the Knott's show. My thoughts have been to create a class that could be called "Fox Heritage" or "Fairmont Heritage" (afterall, the Fairmont started it all!) class and include any of the non-Mustang Fox chassis cars that want to group together. These would include the '78-'83 Fairmont/Zephyr, '80-'82 Granada, '80-'82 Cougar/XR7, '80-'82 T-bird, '83-'86 LTD/Marquis, '84-'92 Lincoln Mk VII, '82-'87 Lincoln Continental, with possibly the '79-'86 Capris included. If I have missed any, please let me know! The T-bird/Cougar years could be adjusted to include up to the '88 model year if there was enough interest in splitting off from the other T-birds. The Fox chassis was used for many of the cars Ford produced in the 80's and is a strong part of the heritage of Ford in the '80's. Why not have a class to recognize and celebrate this part of Ford's long heritage? Let me know what you think!

X3 how about a All Fox '78-'88 Chassis Section. I even noticed that there were not that many 4 eyed mustangs there, more svo's so i do think that we can combind all the foxes together in 1 row. hell they have rows for just green newer mustangs! OH C'MON...

Well, I definitely relate to the 5.0 Mustang guys since the Capri shares all the same architecture. Plus, the Mustang section gets waaaaaaaaaay more exposure and our Capri IS a 5.0

I just think it's fun at car shows to get as many people looking at your car as possible.
