1982 Mustang GT T-Top 302 / 4spd
1986 SVO Mustang - 1C
I like 'em both,but i'd get the "82 .
I'd go with the '93 Cobra, but I'm sort of partial to them, I've had 3 of them now, and will have another one. They're also very reasonably priced right now.
$11k will fetch you a really nice, less than 50,000 mile 93 Cobra.
85 McLaren Capri Coupe -Blue/orange, 5 spd, sunroof
05 GT -5 spd, Supercharged
The '93 Cobra is black with grey interior. It has 71K on it. It's a South Carolina car.

You've got a hard decision to make. I'd love either car personally. I'm partial to 82 GT's but the 93 Cobra is more rare to see. I think I've seen 3 or 4 of them ever in person. The 82 GT is a great car but lacks the power in stock form. I had a all original 82 GT until a year ago. The best part was going for a cruise and feeling like you took a trip back to the early 80's because the car was still stock. I didn't care about the power, I was more concerned about which cassette to throw in next LOL.
I currently own a restomod 82 GT with a 88 EFI motor, T5 and 8.8 rearend. The gauges are from and 86 and the seats from a 92 coupe. Not the exact same feeling driving it but more fun feeling and hearing the horsepower especiallly with the T-Tops off.
I'm leaning towards the 93 Cobra in your case. But, you can't go wrong with either car...
Good luck.
This is no doubt a great resto-rod and perhaps could give you joy and pleasure for years to come, but only you will know. The right car does (and will) come along. Sometimes it takes a month, a year or even 5 years, and while sometimes what we think we see might suffice, it doesn't always fully satisfy. Price is irrelevant in this situation as obviously your budget will allow for a multitude of options all of a certain caliber, however you need to ultimately decide will it truly satisfy your insatiable four-eyed appetite.
^ Well said! Always great to hear from everyone and I appreciate all the comments!

Honestly 10K isn't even that much these days (as sad as that is) I could easily see spending that on that 82 if it runs as good as it looks, shoot my 85 is a 6 footer, that needs all kinds resto, that runs fairly good and I dropped 3700 on it, the next day put 600 bucks in suspension work, by the time I'm done (if it ever is done) I'm reachin alot deeper into the pockets than 10K
I grew up in Enfield? did you?
Yeah, sad to say that $10K isn't much, especially considering that an '82 GT sold for less than $10K new!
I'm originally from East Longmeadow, MA. Moved to Enfield in 2006 since it was a bit easier to make the commute into Hartford on a daily basis.
