Foxes do not lend the proper proportions for flames, much less realistic flames.
I have seen very few foxes with flames that I even bothered to take a second look at the flames.

I've done airbrushing, but nothing as complex as what I am suggesting....
what about something where, you've got a can-opener/peeling effect on the hood, where the metal will be peeling away to reveal a realistic rendering of the turbo and setup beneath. definitely different.
If you never plan on selling it, then paint it whatever color you like. If you may end up selling it some day, a different color will certainly hurt resale value.
