I did mine in my car and it turned out great. Mine did not have the metal strip inside. It is just rubber. I first trimmed the ends where it needed it. Then lined it up and drilled where the rivets go. After that I applied the weatherstipping glue to both mating surfaces. Next I worked from one edge and stuck it on and finished with the rivets.

Same here. I'd recommend the black 3M weatherstripping cement rather than the yellow.
After the first go, I had a few spots where it wasn't holding tight against the T-top frame. I added a little more cement down into the crack, then installed the T-tops (carefully, so as to keep the felt where it belonged rather than bending it down) to clamp it against the frame until the glue dried. It's been fine since.

where did you get it from? i got it from fmr should i try late model restoration or something else? thanks
The weatherstripping? FMR I believe. A couple pieces I needed around the same time I got from Mustangs Unlimited, depending on price ... it was one of the two for sure.
