Wheels should be here tomorrow... getting excited. I have decided on a 255/40/16 tire for it. 25.8" tall and 10.2 wide on a 9.5" wheel should be fine. The 265/35/16 tires the previous owner ran are nonexistent. I also picked up a Xenon front air dam and a Saleen rear wing.

I cant imagine those wheels would be cheap to buy. I can just picture this car complete hittting the corners at the track.

That's awesome you were able to get the orig (race) wheels. I'd imagine tracking down the Xenon from bumper took a bit of work too. Looking forward to seeing more updates.

Well I finally got the car into the shop for it's disassemble portion. It's hard to believe that this thing is still alive.. mufflers welded to the frame, oil pan sitting on the K-member, some nice flex pipe, clutch cable mods, the list goes on.. The drivetrain is coming out, all body parts removed, then it's off to the beadblasters to remove all the paint and whatever else the black primer is hiding..

I'd forgotten about this thread, nice to see some updates! I still can't believe you tracked down the original wheels, they look to be in great shape. Amazing how quickly a nice car can go to pot in the wrong hands...
