Today was the big day,I finally have an 80Cobra in my stable About 2years ago a White 80 Cobra turned up in NJ as some of you will remember this car, well it was then I got the idea to get one. After a solid 2 years of searching I ended up with the car that gave me the idea to get one,it sure is strange how things work out.
Last week ED,Esco & myself headed out to PA to see a Cobra I thought was a sure thing, but as it turned out is was'nt Ed had a great idea "lets go see that White 80Cobra that's in upstate NY",well went headed up there to see the car. Thanks for the idea Ed After looking the car over,it was really solid and everything was there untouched, besides the radio. We headed home, talked it over and I gave it some thought during the week. I made a phone call to the owner and made a deal for the car by Thrusday. Trying to figure out how to get this home good old Ed hooked me up with a diehard Ford guy who had a trailer and lived only blocks away from me,so today was pick up day. We headed upstate bright and early, loaded the car up and brought the Cobra to her new home.
I'm very excited to have finally added the 80Cobra it completes my even year collection and 80 was the year I was born so it sure is cool to have a car from that year. The car will go through a Restomod over the next few years. I'm in no rush to get it done as I'm still working on my Coupe but the hard part is done, getting the car.
I will use this thread to update my progress on the car and of course post many pics though the stages.
I have to give a big thanks to Ed for taking the trip upstate, hooking me up with Larry my new buddy and everything else you do for me bud!
