really nice LX you have there. it also looks like you used the same spray paint for that hood panel above the grille too. Duplicolor truck and suv paint, right?

The hood panel had already been done in the charcoal, but had alot of chips on it. Duplicolor trim paint - semi gloss black.

Mine currently has the shorty's on it with the Mustang 4 cat duals. You will need to get some extensions made from the end of the pipes to the mufflers as these cars have a longer wheelbase. I don't know about the column shift linkage, but I would think it should work.

It will have (when I have the disposable income again) long tubes/Off road x-pipe & nice stainless tails.

If I recall correctly, the 84's came in White/Black & Light Blue. The 85's came in White / Black & this Grey (I don't even remember the name of the color!). I have a buddy that went with me when I bought it, that has always told me I should paint it black. I told him "no, then it would look like a 4 dr. Grand National!

Eventually the time will come to paint it (everything BUT the roof was done by a previous owner), but I think it will remain that hue.

Hmmm, don't really know on that. it looks like it may be missing some code. you could try a hosting site (such as Photobucket, etc..) & then try posting. I put all of mine there, although I also have copys on my 'puter.

Nevermind, now they're working. Although the second one is smaller. Car looks to be in pretty decent shape for an SSP!

THANKS! I was under my 85 the other day and was wondering if I would run into this issue once I swap everything because my I was going to use the factory setup from that on the 83.

I was contemplating actually waiting until I can afford to do a fuel cell to make clearance for the duals and put my inline farther up the car. Sucks cause now I have an inline Walbro 255 for my 85 that I won't be using. I do, however, still have my 255 from my old car. It's from a Probe GT... I'll post in that thread if it works!

Where do you guys find the muffler hangers that bolt to the upper control arm brackets for the passenger side when running duals? Is there a place that sells them?

yea 85 had what looks like a carb but has 2 injectors in it and im wanting to either put a mustang efi intake or a truck 5.0 intake on it with the twin butterflies......didnt know if my stock ecm and harness would work of if i was goint to have one out the donor vehicle...and also if my fuel pump would be strong enough to fuel 8 injectors instead of 2

I just call it TBI even though that's a Chevy term... It's the same concept.

I'd say you'd be ok on the fuel pump part as long as it's not a built motor. You'd need the ECM from the donor car... They are very similar, you can actually plug your ECM into the V6 harness, but the V6 harness doesn't have the pinouts for the other 2 injectors and the V6 ECU probably doesn't have the driver for the 2 injectors and definitely doesn't have the air/fuel or spark maps for the V8.
