the 140MPh Speedos were cop only speedos. The Tach was an LTD LX only thing. They are hard to find. And those that have them usually horde them.

One of my LTD LX's has all three. 2 of them have tilt wheels, and all three of my LTD's have rear de-fogger

When i owned a 85 LX, it always had a rustling wind noise at speed.

The same sound appeared after a windshield replacement on the Ranger.
They tape the trim to keep out water while the butyl sets up or something.
Removed the tape-sound was gone.

Air around the windshield trim and loose tape.
Wonder if that dam noise may have been trim related? A gap.
Wish i still had that car to find out for sure.

By the way, here is the car in its current state


88 Turbocoupe springs and sway bar in the rear with a GT 8.8 LSD freshly rebuilt with the carbon LSD discs. I have a Turbocoupe front sway bar and springs along with the front brakes to bolt in next then I'll be driving it this summer like that until I swap the Supercoupe motor into it this winter Oh yeah, and the pony wheels...

P.S. That was all 99 Mustang dash stuff in the back that the previous (second owner) was going to swap in. I had a typo in one of my last messages too. Odometer says 23K not 26K and I'm the 3rd owner. My buddy had it for the last 6 years and never drove it.

My 85 LTD LX that I found on here a couple of years ago. When this pic was taken all I had done is paint the front & rear trim to semi-gloss black & install my ARE rims from my Capri. Since then I've redone all the window trim in semi-gloss black and alot!! of detail work. Currently she's sitting waiting to have the battery re-installed (was stored for the winter), but then I'm swaping the ENTIRE drivetrain/suspension/brakes from my Capri into her.




The rear end after paint & detailing...what fun it was to mask!

That tracer in the background looks just like my old one!! Just I didn't have the graphics on it and it was soon painted black, put the newer sheet metal on it and swapped in a V6 here's a video if anyone is interested hehe http://www.streetfire.net/video/wago...uns_158104.htm

P.S. I like the headlights and grille painted black... I was thinking about doing that on my LTD but with the teal color it might look funny. A darker blue and maybe not.

They were originally a charcoal color on the LX's, mine were just faded wierd & I decided I liked the semi gloss black better!
