Capri/Thunderbird Sunroof interchangeable?

The sunroof on my '80 Capri is an ugly condition. Yesterday when I was at Pull N Save, I found a 1983 Thunderbird with a sunroof. Are these interchangeable? Both are pop up.

In 83 they changed the roof. Looking at the part numbers, not only is the glass different in 83, but so is the frame. The 81-82 T-birds are a better fit, and even then they're fairly different. I believe the size and shape is different, more like the Escort/Tempo/EXP style.

Some of the parts are interchangeable, however, but that's pretty much where the similarities end. I would look for an 80-86 sunroof Mustang/Capri instead. You'll save lots of heartburn and cash to boot.
