'79 Decklid?

So the '79s have a flat decklid?? (No turned up lip on the end)

Anyone have a pic of one on a car??

Yes. 79s are unique that way on the decklids. Mustang Marty pointed that out a while back.

Yes, My 79 coupe had a flat lid when I bought it. It was badly rusted and I couldn't find another one so I settled for the later trunk lid. The first pic is the factory 79 lid, the second is the later lid. Notice the how the lock appears to be near the top edge of the decklid on the original and lower in the latter. The later lids rise up and form a small lip along the edge of the lid.

Will the decklids from the '79s still interchange with the other years?

I don't see why not... all the mounting locations and body lines matched up on with the later one. I was able to use the same lock and latch from the 79
