Hey,Careful Man,There's a Beverage here...
The original bulb was H2.
NAPA p/n = BK7352355

Hey I read your tutorial and that is my inspiration for putting these back in place of the functional but not quite right aftermarket fogs that are on it now.
I'm sure you will get those white covers right!
Perfection is a gift and a curse.
So far I'm heading to my shop for a bead blasting session and hopefully the bulbs are in stock at NAPA.

Carquest has them too, and keep the blaster AWAY from the glass lens!! Make sure you take the glass out if your blasting the outer rings.

Not sure what Matt charges on those but they shouldn't cost more then $7 each at the parts store.
Make sure they are the 55w version and not the 100w ones, the wiring can't handle it.
Well as luck would have it the bulbs are special order even at NAPA.No biggie until I find out not only do I need 2 bulbs but some dim wit has removed one of the ceramic bulb holders and I need one of those.
So long story short I removed the guts from the Marchal lights and replaced them with the reflector and H3 bulb configuration from a set of rally fog lights that were in it.
No real damage done and one of the original reflectors was a little rough so I'm back in business with upgraded guts and a pretty original look.
What would finish it up would to be the removal of the black diffusers from the originals and to install them on the replacement reflectors.
And to buy a set of lights from Jeff with correct white covers.
So PM me a price if you can hook a brother up.

What is the difference between the White and Black covers?(other than the color....)
Was it a year difference or what was available.
I have the Charcoal Gray/White letter ones for my '85 and they still are "tight" on the Fog Lights, but I am worried about losing them.
If they are getting HTF,maybe I should stockpile a few....

Hey,Careful Man,There's a Beverage here...
79-82 Mustangs used the white cover with black Marchal logo
84-86 Mustang GT and Capri RS's used the Charcoal Grey Covers with the Marchal Logo in white
SVO's seem to have used the solid black covers from what I can gather, no white lettering.
We had this discussion a while back re-covers in a different post I'm trying to locate. But here are the part numbers to make sure:
79/86 Mustang - D9ZZ 15K233A - White with cat
83/86 Mustang/Capri - E3SZ 15K233A - Charcoal with White lettering
83/86 Capri - D9ZZ 15K233A - White with cat
84/86 Mustang SVO - E4ZZ 15K233A - Black with white lettering
86 Mustang Exc. GT/SVO - E6ZZ 15K233A - Black with white Ford oval logo
86 Capri exc. RS - E6ZZ 15K233A - Black with
white Ford oval logo
Ford liked to put whatever they had in stock on the cars. Usually they would order in a certain type, but if Marchal was low on stock they couldn't just stop production so they put on whatever Marchal had. That's most likely why mine came with white covers. I've seen several others with white covers too.
the black SVO covers did not have white lettering, well all the ones I have seen and my NOS ones don't have them.
Great Info,Thanks!
Hey,Careful Man,There's a Beverage here...
My SVO has the black only cover but some SVO owners claim their car came with the black and white. They probably used both versions depending on supply.
