    Default My sons pace car

Last weekend my 13 yo purchased his first car. I have a few questions reguarding it. I have never seen a pace car with stripes like the one he purchased are they factory. Also the bottom of the rear seat is destroyed, what all years will fit? I know the later seat had plastic that the seatbelts slide up tru but the early one didn't, what year did they add that?

    Thanks

Never seen that stripe running after the running-horses ... looks like they were added way after as they aren't as old as the others.

Any back seat from 79-93 will fit as long as it isn't from a vert. 87 is when they decided to feed the seatbelts up through plastic sleeved installed in the seat. The location of the bolts that hold the seatbelts did not change though.

The rear lower seat attachment point was changed in '90. They won't interchange. So anything '79 to '89 should work. '90-93 won't.

    Great project car.
What is the vincode ? I'd like to add the car to my Pace Car registry.

Are the stripes realy stripes ? It's hard to see the details on the photo.
It looks like the side molding has been stuck on to high on the door and the quarterpanel.

The brakes should be fixed this week and the motor should go back in next weekend. The boys is ready to get it running.
