79 Cobra door sticker help

I visited a local Mustang 'junkyard' today and found a red/black 79 Cobra with red interior. It is a 4cyl turbo, 4spd, with a/c, solid roof. It is complete but shot. It'll need the strut towers repaired, floors, quarters and doors, due to rust. It has been an Illinois car for who knows how long. Here is a door sticker pic. Hopefully it turns out. I'll go back and see if there is a buck tag and anyhing else I can think of, but whatt got me was the 10/78 build date. When was the earliest one built?

Pic didn't come out well. I'll get more info when I go back. It is on Chicago craigslist right now for $1000, but I know him well and he wants it gone. I'm sure I could get it for some parts trading.

My 79 Cobra was built 8/78 which is also Red on Red but with a V8. I will attach the Marti Report Below. I bet the Cobra you are looking at has a brushed aluminum Sport Wheel. All early models have that. They later changed them to Black.

Just went back to that Mustang graveyard today and snatched the buck tag...The 'AB" on the bottom right is stamped at a 45* angle

It has a 4cyl turbo, manual trans, a/c, hood scoop with snake, rear defrost, NO rear wiper, power steering, power brakes, console, I forgot to look and see which steering wheel was in there. It is red over black, with red interior, He's threatening to part it. It is pretty bad, but I may be able to swap parts for it.
