It's an old photo from back when my Capri was still street-driven car. The suspension is an old Quickor Engineering (RIP) spring kit that drops the nose of the car about 2.5 inches while dropping the rear bumper to 1 inch below stock height.

Ditto on that. How the hell fid ya stuff all that rubber under those fenders. And have room for tails. I would love to do that to my 85 gt. Iv always wanted that look for mine. I have that look on my 68phone chevy nova ss. Nice looking car.
Took out the cheap springs that I cut , and put in some SVE 2" drop springs with new struts , and shocks. Rides so much better ! Now I just need to figure out what rims I want to run . Thinking of the 17x8 and 17x9 saleen sc wheels in silver.

I think that looks great with the ponys- Fancier rims are not necessarily better.

Brian, the Eibachs were the cheap springs you replaced with the SVE's?
Since you stated you had already replaced the shocks the better ride you are now experiencing is due to the uncut SVE springs?
Just looking for clarification since I loved the way your car sat in your first post and was looking to mimic your ride height.
What is your ground to fender lip measurement now?I'm at 26.5" with stock springs and was thinking just a 1/2'' more drop by cutting 1/4 coil off the stockers might get me there.
Thanks for your time
The first setup I had was a used setup I got from a friend of a friend. He said they were eibachs but i'm not sure (he had repainted them so I could't tell) and the shocks looked good but were probably beat too. I should have just bought new stuff in the first place. I liked the way it looked too, but It was just too bouncy. So the ride height now is 25 1/2 " all around . Thats with new SVE 2" drop springs and new KYB struts up front . I'd say the first setup was at about 25" . Sorry about the confusion

Anything is possible, but I would be surprised if a set of Eibachs with a cut coil were "bouncy". In my experience they are good springs, not too hard and not too soft, but I would definitely say they would be more firm than bouncy in virtually any situation. Just my 2 cents worth.
I actually have a set ready to go into the 84 RS due to the fact, I like the overall stance, ride quality, and handling.

Saleens would look fantastic on that car.
Just an 1.5" drop in the front. I like a little rake on the convertibles. Hoping the girlfriend is picking up the subtle hints to get me some SCs for my b-day (like the open LRS catalog with the circled picture and the caption "THESE!").
