Well, if you all wanted to try a centrally located show then, I could make suggestions for this area. I'm just about right in the center of the state. There's plenty of hotels, good places to eat and lots of family oriented activities if one wanted to make a weekend out of it.

O.K. which Sonic? I know of one on N. Orange Blossom Trail in Rosemont or there's one in Winter Park too. There is another one on Hwy 441 in Eustis which is closest to my area.

I'll check them out and reply back. I'm sure there are even more than I've listed. I think there is also one in Lake Mary right off of Interstate 4. Also, I'm sure the management would have to approve this sort of gathering too.

The San Diego Mustang Club had their big show this past weekend. I think there were about 11 foxbodies that showed, only one was a foureye (86 GT 1C) and one SVO (85.5 1C also). The rest were aero's. None of them were mine, I brought the 69 Mach.
Too many S197 & up count. *yawn*

You would probably see more four eyes at the local dragstrip than a Mustang car show. Seems that way around here.

I can't complain because I was at a local cruise night last week and with a custom built Daytona kit (beautiful) and an 09 Shelby most of the people that stopped were to look at my bone stock Capri RS....kinda cool.
True though.....not a four eye in site
It won't be impromptu unless you guys are talking about doing it....tonight. Call ahead, Sonics sometimes hosts car shows themselves. And letting others know outside of this thread would make for a better turn out unless just you southern Florida guys wanted to come up and meet a handful of Central FL guys.
No matter where you go, there you are
well if it turns into an actual show hopefully next month then i am all for spreading the good word

Cause if I play my cards(and money) right I'll have a 5 lug conversion done in that time. However there is also a car show at a Ford Dealership in November as well. http://tinyurl.com/yc9rmbu Which is a closer drive for you southern stangs AND the turnout of 4 eyes is rather low for that show and i'd like to see more
No matter where you go, there you are
thats still a 2 1/2 hour drive gotta see how this month goes

While Orlando is another 45 minutes onto that. But that show is right off I95.
Cause if you want to go to a decent sized show in the Orlando area, Waterford Lakes show is probably the one to go to. But I don't know when they are held since I last went to one in February or March.

Yeah, the Waterford show is an MCA sanctioned event with an entry fee. That one happens around February each year. There's usually on average 2 four eyes per year. I'd rather attend something more casual known as a "cruise in" or simple "car hangout". I don't need the MCA guys going over my car with a fine tooth comb 'cause it's far from that caliber.

I remember two but I did get there a little early and then left early. The red '85 vert was sweet. I've seen that one in several shows before. I wish I had pictures of it.

Yes! That's the red '85 I was talking about! Thanks for the photo! I love that car! I missed the V6 convertible but I've seen the Regatta Blue '85 many times. In fact, I know the previous owner. That car was his daily driver for years, racking up over 100k miles. It has been repainted by Harper's Auto Body in Whorlando, and a damn fine job they did I might add. The car was also featured in Mustang Monthly many years ago. The current owners are doing a good job maintaining the car now. They had some ugly aftermarket rims on it for some time. Glad to see the ten holes back on there.

Any news on this Friday's show at the Towershops for you South Floridians? I'm back in town and could make it tomorrow.
I'm down for a more central gathering, but Orlando is 3+ hours away from me. I'd like to at least plan it ahead of time if we are going to meet up there. Normally I probably wouldn't care, but I've travelled so much in the last 2 weeks that I'm pooped. I'll be gone again at the end of October/beginning of November

... but ...
Beater is trying hard not to be offended by this remark simply because he's ... well ... a Beater with not many other cars running around that are of the same vintage! He may not be pretty but will still be around long after most of the current crop of Mustangs are scrap!
