Cool that it has such a history with you. Any plans for it in the future?
I'd like to get the front seats recovered some day. Maybe even add back the decals. At the time I had the car painted, I didn't have any extra $$ for the decal set.

Nice to have parents with space, who are willing to keep your car safe and sound.

Bringing an old thread out of the dead. I've been wanting to change out the rims for a while. The TRX are OK for local trips only and I've been running a set of 10 holes this past summer for long trips (Carlisle, LI BBQ, and American Muscle shows). This pic was taken after my trip home from Carlisle.

So I finally picked up a really nice set of Riken mesh wheels with great tires from federal officer / Mike out in north central Mass. Just put them on my Pace Car today. I'll get the car out of the garage this coming weekend for better pics....

    These are 15" rims

Well, weather cooperated today so I took the car out for 1 last spin for the year / season. Freezing rain / sleet here tonight so that ends any chance of of salt free roads around these parts. Did some errands and then topped off the tank. Here are a few final pics before it went back in the garage.

I'm probably going to be in the minority on this but since the decals are already off the car I say leave it as is. It looks great...

Yup, no plans to add them back at this point. Exterior is going to stay like this; the car was repainted back in the early 1990's and I like the look.

Next big project is to recover the original seats, I've already priced out the TMI materials....

Thank you! On another 86 I had, I had changed the wheels. This one was too nice to mess with, so I'm going to try to keep it as otional as possible. I also love the 79, you lucked out that you have a place to store it! Maybe I'll see you at the BBQ this year in LI. It would be my first one.

Fine cars. Storing for long periods then driving. Get togethers with old friends.
    More intense of an experience.
Had mine parked for 10+ years then restored all the worn stuff and engine.
Back again as a 2nd DD on its 2nd life.
Opinion- Indy stripe design looks sharp, as does the Mustang name on the hood.
To the knowing, just enough to say yup PC, not 80 Cobra or regular Mustang with add ons.

The Indy logo and door ad nah except for shows.
I have my Cobra door decals on magnetic door ad material.
Use when parked or cruising slow.

You know I'm playing While I will never be a fan of them, I agree they are ok on some cars.

They aren't my favorite either, I actually like the pony's better. But I guess it all depends on the individual and the car in question . If you put the priority on keeping the car as "original" looking as possible, then the 10 holes work.
