    Default Blue interior pics?

Well I have an 82 hatch with blue interior (out of car but orig).

Thinking about a color change but wanted to see what was out there first.

    Thanks,

    J

Here is mine. It's an 86 Capri with the code B regatta blue basic fabric interior.

    1979's shade of blue.

I recently had the shifter bezel apart to replace the rubber seal (for about the tenth time!), and it was interesting to see what the inside surfaces of the plastic console looked like, compared to the outside surfaces. Even though you can't tell it from this picture, the outside surfaces are definitely faded. This is despite the fact that the car has spent 98% of its life in a garage.

Is your dash pad a repro or original? It looks as though it's in great shape.

Not too many blue interiors left. I'd like to see more of them.

The dash pad is original. It is not perfect (are any of them?) but it's in good shape considering 30 years and 85K miles. There is a 1" crack in the defroster area, and there are cracks between some of the small speaker perforations. I'm afraid some day I will jump in the car and there will be the typical full-length crack. By then I hope the long-awaited high-quality reproduction is available.

i agree with the saying you can have any color you want as long as it is black

If you do a color swap I would like pics of your old pieces. I have an 83 RS Turbo w a light blue interior that needs some door panels and other pieces. Anything that will swap over from your stang.
    Thanks,

I know it's personal preference, but I really can't understand why anyone wouldn't want that blue interior! It is amazing! I know black goes with everything, and it is really nice when everything is clean, but I think colors are becomming more and more desirable. I won "best interior" in my '85 last night at a local show, and it's red! I think any color can look really nice if some attention is given to it to keep it nice.

Since it's an 85, I would imagine it would be Regatta Blue just like my 86. It's a great color.

I just bought an 86 coupe with blue interior and I think it looks pretty good. It needs a little help in some areas but I think I'll keep it that way. Just my opinion.

anyone know if there is blue dye for the plastic, i have some interior parts there are in great shape but are faded and ugly? i would like to restore them rather than replace them if there is a way to get a good color match.

tell me about it. my first fairmont had a beautiful dash cap. i pulled it out all nice and carefully laid it on the couch in the house. i went out side to replace the blown speakers in the dash, came back in, and i had 5 or 6 big ole cracks in it... i was so frigin mad!
