CFI to EFI Conversion

I just got a great deal on a 85 GT (AOD). I want to do a CFI to EFI upgrade and have most all of the parts from a 86 GT.

Does anyone know if someone's documented this upgrade somewhere on the net? (I could not find it)


Since the 85 was CFI, will the fuel lines work?

Had to look it up, Had never hear it called Central Fuel Injection before...
Have you looked at the Edlebrock or Holley conversion kits?
But did a few google searches that show some conversions out there that have been done.

Yeah, me either. I always called them throttle bodies, but it looks like CFI is Ford's term.

I had a chance to get a take off EFI from a 86, so the price was resonable. Starting new aftermarket is out of my leauge on this project. Looks like I might just rebuild a carb that I have laying around and buy an intake. I need to see how it runs first before making up my mind.

This info may help, this was a 5.0 CFI car converted to 5.0 SEFI....I am doing a CFI to EFI myself...
