This car has, or had base coat clear coat and is peeling the clear in one area. But no worries, it will get some paint sooooooon enough!

I will get that to blend and not be so OMG look at that by days end.

Looks like my old Stang, just noticed there was no glovebox door . You know if you get sick of those turbines they would look great on my Cougar . You know it already looks great after buffing it! Its funny how little it takes to take a faded old car that has been neglected and make it look so much better.

Glove box door is in the hatch.

Makes it a little hard to reach though....LOL

Its out because they pinched a wire, which I will have to track down this week. But I have it.

You can have the ratty turbines once they are off..LOL

To be honest its a cheap, $90 Coleman Variable Speed buffer with slow start.
Bought it about 7yrs ago I think....has worked great for me.

Today just about 90 degrees and let me tell you, it was not much fun and a long day process to get it where it is now. But well worth and Kristen is much happier with the looks of it for now. I also set up the canopy tent to keep the sun off me and a fan to keep the air moving, man way to hot!!

Next we are moving into the interior, then engine detail.

Pay no attention to the turbines and crappy tires as I got a new set of clean ones that I will be picking up tomorrow.

    On to some more pics.

Do you still think the paint is "shot"? Because, and maybe it's just the pics, it looks terrific. You can maybe see a little bit of where the clear coat was toast around the gas filler door, but not really. The shine is great. You should really make a road trip to WI some time. I know of a few cars here that could use some of that Jeffclean magic.

    Nice job.

Thanks Jack...the car definitely will need paint in time.
For now, its a 10footer, which is what I wanted to achive with it. Work out some bugs, detail the motor, then paint it black again.

For the short cash on the car, so far I am pleased!
