man just walk up and start talking to him, maybe he needs a friend. you could be buddys and work on the capri together.
are you really afraid of this disabled guy? has he shot people or killed anyone or is it that you just find him creepy? does he have a gun on the porch with him? just go talk to the guy he probably won't bite you.

Drove by one time today, the car I want to see there still wasn't.
I will go again tomorrow at 5:25 to see if he is home. I will prepare myself with a note to leave with my number too. I hate to leave a note as I would like a yes/no in person where as you never know if they got the note or not if I leave it.

Umm if scary guy's dad is past his 70's, there is a realistic possibility he won't be piloting any shiny cars and he's snoozing in his recliner every time you drive by. Most folks I know that old quit driving and use a shuttle or relatives to get around.

Ok....I was heading there, on the highway and it comes to a complete stop 1 mile back from the lights...NOT USUAL...I am like, is this a sign? It has NEVER backed up here!!!!! There was an accident that caused a back up.
Well I went anyway...saying please don't kill me.
I drove by, no red station wagon....I am like W T F
Hell I am stopping.....that shiny Volvo was still there. I walk up to the door, and meanwhile my truck is out on the street, so I didn't think they knew I was there. I get close to the door and I hear click click, I'm like oh ****...but this little old lady pokes her head out and says ohh, yes, hi, he is around the corner. So I assume Carl (the son) did tell him I would come by.
I walk around and there he is, Joe the dad, and is a super nice old man. He was in the garden weeding....we talked about 40 min or so.
Well to get right to it, he isn't ready to part with it. he still wants to fix it. I do believe it was his sons, and he wants to see it fixed one day...He said to stop by with my capri when its done so he can see it and then give him my name/number and he will let me know if he parts with it.
I looked at it a bit closer and its showing some rust issues I didn't see the other day, but I still think she is savable, providing the underneath isn't melted away after 20 YEARS OF SITTING THERE, RIGHT THERE, NOT MOVING...so sad.
On to some cell phone pics....sigh oh and he doesn't think it has more then 1400 miles on the car...ugh
yeah, he will sell it to you when its rotted in half. i hate when people cant sell something, but also havnt touched it in years. man, that car is sweet.

thats sad because he will never get it running at his age. its just going to disappear into the environment like all the other cars or stories that we hear that one day they plan on getting it to run. It never pans out and they just don't want to let it go. it will just rust away and the old man might just pass away someday not seeing his dream of that. I hope he gets up the next day and tells you to come and get it. Hope he talks to his wife and the wife says go ahead and sell it because your getting to old and they son will never drive it again after the head injury. that is a beauty and I would pick it up myself if I had the cash. Good luck and I hope he changes his mind
