Perfect Jason!!! Thanks for posting that up over there and asking, I guess I should have thought to do that. I bet that color would look really sharp on a hardtop, with silver graphics and wheels. Hell, it would even be cool with gold graphics, tan interior, gold meshes. Hrm... If there is 5 more besides that one, they must be out there somewhere... I'll take one dark blue 85 and one brown 85 please!

It was red, had the roll bar, but did not have the hoodscoop if I remember right. I'll see if I can track down a picture of it. Very neat car, I'm not sure if it has been found yet.

To my knowledge, there was only 1 LRB Saleen in 85...the other 2 or 3 were a darker blue, available on the non GT cars.

Here is the breakdown from The Saleen Book:

48 Black Hatchbacks
35 White Hatchbacks
1 White Convert.
25 Red Hatchbacks (Jalapeno)
5 Grey Hatchbacks
1 Blue Convert. (darker blue)
6 Blue Hatchbacks (darker blue)
1 Maroon Hatchback (Med. Canyon)
2 Brown Hatchbacks
1 Dark Green Hatchback
1 Light Blue Hatchback (LRB)

In the Saleen book it says they only made 4 dk blue hatchs. I know that 2 of them are ttop cars cause theres a pic of a blue 1 online (really nice and in the same setting as the sage green one in the saleen book) and one that I found near me.

Are you going to do a 100% correct resto on this car? Replicate overspray, chalk/paint markings? Or, just do it with some personal touches?

Thanks, guys. It won't be an exact concours level restoration, but it will be an extremely nice repaint. I don't think the value of these cars supports a 20k+ paintjob with replicated overspray, drips, etc. So in that sense, it will probably be "over-restored". I'm OK with that though, it's still going to stand tall and do the Predator name proud when it's done!

Cant wait to see this parked beside ole canyon red gt427r - mmmmmmm - looks like they will both be ready this coming season ? Only thing in my way is a possible move as i have grown to dislike winter. Looks great. Finish it nice so when i buy it, its all done for me ? Awesome car. This is the car i desire more than any car in this community.
