    Default 8 Spoke Wheel Question

Had some questions about the 8 spoke 14" wheel on the predators. Does anyone know who made the wheels that Soloman used, what brand, if they were used on another car or just a aftermarket wheel, etc. I thought they were some type of shelby design, but since they are 4 lug i was starting to wonder. I get alot of questions at shows from people asking about them and wish i had more answers.

    Thank You
    Kerry

Yes they were Shelby wheels. You could buy them aftermarket it just happened to be one of the styles Tom Solomon used on the Predators. I don't know if the other wheels used in 1985 and 1986 were Shelby wheels also, but the 8-spoke ones were.

Welcome, Tom Solomon replace the shelby caps to knock off spinners. I got them on 8 spoke rims that was not take off the Predator.

So an update on these wheels courtesy of Tom himself at the reunion yesterday...They were Carroll Shelby wheels and he ended up buying all of the stock Shelby had at the time and Shelby never made any more after that so take care of those wheels!
