It lives again, exactly one year after the last time I drove it I took it for a canadian thanksgiving rip. Runs good timing is a bit off and the kyb suspension feels like crap compared to my p71. But even that could not steal the smile off my face. The magnaflows were soothing to my ears hehe.

Going to bring take it for a couple spins then store it for the winter somewhere where I always have access to it at least this year. No more waiting for anyone.

I dig this car in its natural patina and battle scars! That's a road warrior there... a real modern day hot rod!

^Cool! If you haven't already, I'd tuck some 255/60/15's in the back with 215/60/15's up front then, trim the coils to lower the front end a little for some rake and maybe add a cowl mounted tach. That would be totally 80's street racer style. That's how we did it on the back roads in Michigan BITD...

Its coming back out in april. I really miss it. Been perusing the board in anticipation since for the first time I will own it and have a back up car (2005 crown victoria p71) at the same time. first plan it to clean up the engine bay then repair the stress properly at a body shop then .....well see what I feel like doing on a weekend.

thanks! It has winter tires in the front so that will change soon. It isn't perfect but there is a lot of work in it.

It will be cleaned up and hopefully resemble something along these lines. I found this picture somewhere googling 4eyed pics. but with crown vic steelies instead and proper trim paint.

But for now I will settle for leak free and caged.

I wondered what was going on with this car. Good to see that you're still working on it! Will it be at the St-Joseph's oratory in May?

Still here just patiently waiting for winter to be over. The car has been sitting in a garage in stanstead since oct 11 2009. I drove it once oct 12 2010 last. This summer I am driving it every chance I get. Trust me I`m itching.

It's back! Picked it up this afternoon and spent the day enjoying it. Has a bad header leak but it pulls nicely. I think I've put on 250kms since I picked it up. I burnt off most of the old gas and had a nice spin around downtown montreal. Now I need to wash the 2 years of garage dust off it and clean it up.

    Here is the before

Since I had bought this car I hated the chipping flaking flat black spraypaint over the silver flaking onto the original grey trims. I like things oem and simple. So for the last week ( great weather rain, rain...and wait rain.)

By no means am I close to being done but it is smoothing nicely and I found a very nice can of the right sem paint. Should be painted this weekend along with the headlight buckets. Then ....the rest of the trim.

Oh yeah removed the xenon lip for the time being and I really wish I had the side bumper extensions.

Mine was similar as far as the flaking spray paint goes. I finally had enough and wet sanded the beltline trim and headlight buckets last week and painted last weekend. Window trim, mirrors, and taillights are next.

Heres a little inspiration for you. I like black better than the grey so thats what I repainted them.

After testing the grey sem (39153), I wouldnt try anything else on the trims. Good quality stuff but shake the can before. I am planning on painting the entire front bumper lower section with it. Then hopefully the rest of the the trims will follow.

    Little update

Got fed up with it so decided to try a quick first coat. I like the result it looks a million times better and will look even better after I find the bumper extensions and put the xenon airdam back on.

Since I have sanding and painting the front bumper I took my marshals off. Poor thing the metal is so bent from the previous owner towing the car on a dolley. But the lens are not cracked at least not sure what to do tho.

Well I put the car away in september havent really touched it since. The clutch went due to the crank seal dumping oil on it and after that I kind of lost some interest so back into storage. I started collection parts tho.
My buddy just dropped off a nice set of vw recaroes which will replace my broken and mismatched pinstripe seats. As soon as I have the seal and clutch replaced I am planning on starting soemthing I have never bothered doing with any of my cars.....Bodywork. I always avoided it or sold them prior to doing any but the time has come to get someone to redo what needs doing.

Any idea where I can find the oem recaro rails for a fox body?

It's gonna look awesome when the body's all done up. Are you going to stick with the green?

One day I'll make the big move and get my Capri painted. On a side note, where did you get SEM paint? I don't know of anywhere in Montreal where it's available.

Umm I found it at a carquest in chateauguay. I doubt you remember but a while back you were on sherbrooke with your capri while I was driving my dropped red jetta vr6 daily in traffic made me miss the mustang!.

And it is staying the same green but for now I will be taking care of the stress cracks in the floor and maybe the sunroof.
