Default Electrical system -- noob Q

Just wondering, what is the best source for figuring out the wiring for my 84 GT hatch? The wiring is a mess and I'd like to sort that all out.

I have the Haynes manual, but that doesn't really give me any good info. Looking for something more specific. Any suggestions?

also, when i installed my alarm system, i found the 1984 mustang/capri evtm to be very helpful, as it also has all the wiring diagrams. i got mine off of ebay.

That is a great thread. How messed up is your harness? It may be worth it to find one out of a used car in good shape. The one on my 86 was cut in 50 places by someone taking shortcuts, I got tired of it quick and got a new (used) harness.
